About

“Get it down. Take chances. It may be bad, but it’s the only way you can do anything really good.”

William Faulkner

As a lifetime perfectionist, this quote has become my mantra, especially while writing. It’s okay to be messy. It’s okay to try new things, even if they end up horribly. It’s okay to pour your heart into something, only to find out it isn’t good enough. Because if you don’t try, you can never have the opportunity of getting better.

Now a bit about me. I’m a mom of two wild boys and a grouchy pup. I’m also a Canadian, raised in the snow, who married an Arizonan, raised in the sun. Together, we all live in beautiful Montana where I dream of one day owning a house in the trees. Does that make me an introvert? Yeah probably. But aren’t most creative-types?

I’ve been an avid reader my whole life. From kindergarten to the birth of my first son, I read book after book after book, until one day, all the stories churned together in my mind. They made something new and original that just kind of spilled out of me! Since then, I haven’t been able to stop.

As you’ve probably guessed, I love all things spooky, eerie, and creepy, but I also have a soft spot for romance, so I include it in everything I write. I’m represented by the wonderful Ali Herring at Spencerhill Associates, and I am currently on submission with my debut novel, If These Halls Could Talk. I’ve learned a lot on this crazy journey of mine, and I still have a long way to go, so why don’t you follow along?

Life isn’t static, and neither is the writing process. Follow my journey and upcoming projects.
